how to order
We keep only a small amount of stock, for sale at shows and events as most items are made for clients as and when ordered.
The time your garmet will take to make up, depends on several factors, including the complexity of the outfit and the availability of trim and fabrics.
Orders without a telephone number or email address may be delayed.
No Cash on Delivery orders accepted.
Orders will be mailed - pickup not possible at this time except by arrangement at events we attend.
Any changes on items will incur extra charges if approved.
All orders are subject to postage and packing charges regardless of postage method and these costs are non-refundable.
Step 1
Email us with your request . If it is for one of the items from our site, please include the name of the model, colour and approximate size required. For your own design or a replica costume please include:-
1. Basic information about the costume.
2. Tell us the date you need it by and we suggest setting the date at least two weeks before you absolutely need it, to allow for last minute changes questions, etc.
3. What colour and type of fabrics you would like to use.
4. What size you want.
5. Send as many pictures as possible of the costume you want. We can’t do commissions without reference pictures. We do need a sketch, photo or some sort of pictorial reference of the garment you want. We cannot generate a quote based on a written description. The written word leaves too much room for error, so we cannot give estimates based on descriptions. If your image is not already online, you can upload pictures, free of charge, to an online Photo Album such as Photobucket.
6. A list of any extra pieces you want made (hat? accessories?), what it's for, and any other relevant information.
Step 2
We will reply with an approximate cost and time to complete your costume and ask for any further details we may require.
Step 3
When you reply to us confirming that you would like to go ahead with your costume, we will send fabric and trim samples as necessary on receipt of £5
Step 4
Once you are happy with the price, colour, fabric, trims and any other details involved, we will set up a telephone appointment and guide you through the measurements we need. We then adjust one of our dressmaker’s dummies to your measurements, adding a bra and/or padding or whatever is necessary to make the dummy as close as possible to your body.
Step 5
You pay the 50% deposit to us and on the receipt of cleared funds we will then order the fabrics and trims and begin work on your costume.
Please note that our estimates are only valid for 30 days so if you are not planning on ordering soon, you may need to email us again when you are ready to place your order
The measurement call will take up to one hour. The number of measurements needed will depend on the style of your costume.
